At First Pres, we believe serving is how we live out our faith, grow in community, and reflect the love of Jesus to the world. When you serve, you’re not just filling a role—you’re stepping into the story God is writing here and now.

Whether you love being with people or prefer to work behind the scenes, whether you have a few hours a month or can jump in weekly, there’s a place for you. From helping kids feel safe and seen, to welcoming guests, to supporting local outreach in our city, your presence matters.

We serve inside the church and outside its walls because we are Light and Life for the City.

Kids Check-In Volunteer
Kids Ministry
2x/month, Sundays at 9 or 10:30
Welcome families and assist with our secure check-in process. No tech experience needed—just a smile and a heart for kids.

Coffee Hospitality Team
Hospitality
1–2x/month, Sundays 7:30–9:00 AM
Arrive early to help brew and set up Sunday morning coffee stations. Create a welcoming environment for guests.

Alpha Table Host
Groups
11-week session, one evening per week
Guide weekly Alpha table discussions. No teaching required—just a willingness to listen, pray, and walk with others in discovery.

Do I have to be a member to serve?
Nope. You’re welcome to jump in and serve even if you’re new or just exploring. Some roles that involve teaching or leadership may require membership, but most are open to anyone ready to help.
Can I try something before I commit?
Absolutely. Most roles offer a “first serve” option—an easy way to shadow or try it out before making a regular commitment.
What if I don’t know where to start?
That’s what the form above is for! Tell us what you enjoy and we’ll follow up to help you find a great fit. You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Do I need to have experience?
No prior experience needed—just a willing heart. We’ll train and equip you for whatever role you step into.
Can my family serve together?
Yes! We love when families serve side-by-side. Let us know you’re interested in serving together and we’ll help find a role that works for everyone.
