Jeff grew up in East Tennessee and came to Colorado in 1976 to work with the Young Life Dale House. Learned from Jim Oraker, George Sheffer, and George Jr at Date House. Came under the care of First Presbyterian, serving internships with Jim Edwards and Bill Flanagan. Trained for ministry with M.Div. at Fuller Seminary and then did additional MA and PhD at Claremont Graduate School in Old Testament and Ancient Near Eastern Studies. Served as pastor in Presbyterian churches in California, Colorado, Washington DC, and as professor in various seminaries. Serves now as a Senior Spiritual Director with SoulShepherding. Married to Barbara, also of Young Life and Fuller background. Two grown children with grandchildren in Oregon. Loves to hike and play acoustic music.
