At times, critical issues erupt in a person’s life that require the help of a sensitive and caring professional. First Pres is committed to helping people find support and guidance from qualified Christian counselors who can help meet needs and overcome difficult life issues.

These listed counselors have represented to the church that they are licensed or certified in Colorado as a mental health professional and have been in private practice or at an agency for at least two years post clinical Master’s degree.  Counselors have been in a relationship with the Counseling Coalition at its meetings for at least one year and made a professional contribution to the ministry at First Pres the previous year in a way that has been well received by participants, peers and staff. Mary is a family therapist, specializing in adult, marital and individual therapy. She works with co-dependency, sexual abuse, divorce, adoption, blended families, post-traumatic stress and faith development.

Mark is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, trained in Cognitive Behavioral and EMDR therapy. He works with adolescents, adults, couples and families. Aaron is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and KEIRSEY Temperament Certified™ Professional. He sees individuals, couples and families specializing in treating emotional disorders and communication conflicts using rational emotive therapy skills, effective communication techniques and enhancing the understanding of personality.

Christie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. She also does Animal Assisted Therapy with horses. She holds certificates in EMDR and other trauma therapies to work with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and co-dependency relationship issues.
