This is a hard Scripture. It is heartbreaking to understand how we get turned upside down and inside out when we put ourselves first instead of God. We were made to glorify God. We were made to worship and honor Him. When we put ourselves in the middle, it turns the universe upside down and inside out. The soul is like a spoon, when bent in on itself it turns everything around. Homosexuality is a very complicated phenomenon and must be addressed with deep empathy and love. Paul’s description of licentiousness applies to all of us who tend, in our sin, to put ourselves first and disregard the glory due to God.
