I know we don’t preach genealogies much. I mean it’s just a list of names, right? But take a look at some of the people in the family line of Jesus. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. Rahab. Ruth and Boaz. David. This is no fairy tale. God entered into a real family line, into human history. We are talking this Christmas about the family of Jesus. Each one is also a place where we can relate to our own journey toward Christ. Does your history seem messy and unorthodox? You can get to Jesus from any family tree, because Jesus enters our messy family trees.
