So, finally, hear the offer of Jesus Christ in your life. You have been called to belong. Move out of isolation, through fear, to Jesus and into belonging. Peter had a favorite verse: “the stone the builders rejected.” His name means Rock. He was rejected, alone, set aside before Jesus pulled him in and started to fit him into the community of faith with others leaning on him, and him leaning on others, like a cornerstone. Of course, Jesus is the cornerstone, the true Rock. In Him, we never need to be alone again. We never need to be isolated and cut off again. We can find true and eternal and everlasting belonging.
