First Pres Lives Here

Worship Host Sites

First Pres Lives Here gives those who are ready the chance worship with other households in a Worship Host Site. Whatever season of life that you're in, there's a place for you to connect with a community of people to walk through this season with.

This Summer We'll Grow Together Like Never Before

About the First Pres Lives Here Phases

We are meant to be together as a church, but that isn’t possible for everyone, all the time. Our hope is that you’ll join us as we begin to journey back to church together through three phases. In phase one of First Pres Lives Here, we are encouraging those who are healthy to begin meeting in smaller communities of 10 people in homes throughout the city to worship together online as the church devoted to prayer in the Scriptures, teaching, the breaking of bread, fellowship and prayer.

That means our First Pres online worship experience will continue. And we want to make it easy for you to create an environment of worship in your home where you can invite trusted friends and neighbors, to build and double over in community. And soon we’ll return to worship in our building, with webs of relationships of people that we have walked with through this difficult season.

What phase are we in currently?

Beginning Sunday, July 12 we will enter into Phase 2. As part of Phase 2, we're encouraging those who are healthy and able to begin worshiping with another household or two.

What if I don't have a group to worship with?

We would love to get you connected with a Life Group! Whatever season of life that you're in, there's a place for you to connect with a community of people to walk through this season with.

Let us know by completing this form.

Contact our Pastor of Discipleship, Michael Thornton, at  with any questions.

What if I'm not comfortable meeting with other people in small groups yet?

We understand that everyone has different levels of comfortability when it comes to gathering in groups right now. We want you to know that we'll support you every step of the way as we journey back to church. Our online worship experience will still be available for all to join in.

Will worship be online?

Yes. Out of care for our neighbors and to keep you and your family healthy, we will continue to livestream worship on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.

Will Children's and Student online resources still be available?

Yes! Our Family Ministries team has an awesome summer planned with Sunday videos, Online Small Groups, devotional guides and Neighborhood VBS so that you can bring church home for your kids and students.

I'm at risk. How do I gather with others?

We understand that some may have health concerns about gathering with other people right now and recommend that you discern who you feel comfortable gathering with. Our Caring Ministry team will continue calling and checking in.

Other churches are gathering. Why isn't First Pres gathering with social distancing?

While some churches in our area will begin hosting in-person worship, they will follow health measures including wearing masks, sitting 6 feet apart and practicing contact tracing. We believe that Jesus is calling us to be Light and Life for the City in a new way by rolling into smaller communities spread across Colorado Springs.

Do we have to wear masks or sit 6 feet apart when gathering in small groups?

Here are the guidelines that you might want to review when gathering:

Can my group meet on the First Pres campus?

In an effort to keep you healthy and safe, we are currently not opening the building or Weber Street Lawn for groups to meet. Instead, we encourage your group to find a home or outdoor space to safely gather.

What can I do for my mental health?

Should you find yourself struggling with issues relating to mental health, please utilize one of these safe and trusted resources.
