What do you like about First Pres? First Pres was my childhood church home and I am lucky to call it my family’s church home. First Pres has remained committed to the totality of Scripture through the years. This foundation in the Scriptures, in who Christ was and what he miraculously did, is something that was given to me a young kid growing up here. First Pres has a diverse way of conducting cooperate worship, and engaging our local and global communities to share God’s Word. I am proud to be a part of Christ’s body and the body of First Pres. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it” (1 Cor. 12:27).
What do you like to do in your spare time? I will take any excuse I can to play and be with my family—often this means taking them up to ski, camp or go “jeeping” in the Colorado mountains. I also love to get out to run and ride my mountain bike on some easy trails in Moab, Fruita or hit up the Colorado Springs local trails. In the evenings you can find my wife, Angie, and I sneaking a romantic comedy (if she has the remote), running, picking up sopapilla or catching up on some reading.
